This week's topic is Social network.first, New media technologes usually reinforce existing social networks or even work to isolate people.Social network need to reinforce a lot of communication and new media increase contect with friends.people know each other more and more, social network is also getting bigger.but I cannot put network's friend name on the social networkfor example, i know "hyolee lee" but she does not know me. these days, we prefer watching TV , playing computer to going outside.second,when new media technologies facilitate new social networks, they simultaneously challenge existing social, political and economic relationships.

we leared "People make media and then media make people"first i understand "people make media" but i don't understand "media make people""Media make people" means media make how people think about. first we make media ,after media make people.
we learned Tim Berners-lee. he is the man who made world-wide web from hyeprtext.The WWW is a collaboratively authored hypertext and a standard. Also it is a vast,heterogeneous .
we learned ISO, IETF, RFC, url, html, and http.IOS is international standards organization. IETF is internet engineering task force and RCF is request for comments.
this week's people is nam jun Back. we saw nam jun Back's media. i think his work is unique and suprise.he is creative and ahead of our time.
i confuse ISO, IETF, RFC, url, html, and http...everyday, i used www. but i don't know www. after class, i think www one more time.

we learned hypertext thought Tristan tzara's dadaist poem and examples of "cut-ups".
what is hypertext? hypertext is one way that digital media has been understood is as new forms of writing, reading and thinking.
that is, hypertext is system that people get information which was wanted and very efficient tool. dadaism is hypertext's exampleperson think one word. and think another one word. consistently he think a word. and then he collect word and make poem. but this poem has no sense. second, a person choose an article, cut out article.so they mix and mixi think that "cut-up" match 21c. because cut ups doesn't limited text.
also, we learned "When a medium is new, it is often used to simulate old media." and "new media do not replace old media, they displace them."old media motivate new media.
also, we learned engelbart. He is best known for inventing the computer mouse, windows, e-mail, and the word processor.
this week, i think engelbart and tzara is great man. many form of personal computer was invented by engelbart. i endeavor creative thingking.
